To ensure that New Diorama is presenting work that appeals to the broad cross section of our community, we invest in programming artists and productions each season that will directly appeal to local audiences.
For example, with a significantly large Asian population of 22% making up West Euston, and with New Diorama being situated only a short distance from China Town, we have dedicated part of our programme to Chinese language work, created by NDT Community Partner True Heart Theatre.
We fundraise on behalf of all our artists and partners in order to be able to subsidise ticket costs to reflect the means of our local audiences. As part of our NDT Supporters Scheme we offer a significantly reduced annual subscription to patrons living locally, providing them with exclusive access to the theatre’s events and newsletters.
New Diorama pioneers an Access programme which is unique at fringe theatre level. Thanks to Arts Council England's support we are able to provide captioned performances with StageTEXT for the vast majority of our productions, removing any barriers for deaf, hard of hearing patrons and those who do not have English as their first language.
