Police. Pigs. Fuzz. Rozzers. Guardians. Heroes. Puppets. People.

Meet Ted, Coral and Gaz, two cops and a robber. Ted wants to be a hero. Coral will do anything for a promotion. Gaz's best mate is a pigeon, he never stood a chance.

In response to anonymous interviews with serving officers and those affected by the force, Silent Uproar, with playwright Alex Oates (previous work includes Silk Road the Play), bring a dark comedy with live music that looks at how the world either side of the thin blue line isn't black and white, just many shades of grey. Hours of e-forms, stolen gnomes, fractured skulls; another day in the war on crime gone mad.

This production is supported by Hull City Council, Hull UK City of Culture 2017 and the New Diorama Emerging Companies Fund.

Silent Uproar exists to create high-visual theatre focused on blurring the line between the audience and the story. Most of all we aim to make our work fun, imaginative and informal, commissioning new stories that are relevant to our audiences whilst platforming vital social issues for the purpose of engagement, debate and change.
