The Stage Awards were founded to “celebrate outstanding organisations working in the performing arts” and New Diorama are, naturally, delighted to be nominated.
New Diorama Theatre has been shortlisted for Fringe Theatre of the Year 2014. Along with two other theatres, New Diorama are part of the country wide search from The Stage newspaper to find the small theatre in the UK who has achieved most in the last year.
The Stage wrote about our nomination: "Described in one nomination as the best advocate for emerging and innovative fringe theatre in the UK, this central London venue lies at the heart of championing new blood in the sector. The judges felt that the venue's support for more than 40 companies to develop and stage their work last year was an impressive achievement. In addition, many emerging artists were able to tour their work with the assistance of New Diorama - with one show transferring to Japan"
The awards are announced at The Stage New Year party at the end of January.
