Civilisation

6 - 8 August, 2021

About

Update:
Due to Covid-19 isolation requirements, planned performances of Civlisation have been cancelled until Friday 6th August. All affected bookers are being contacted and we are adding two additional performances on Sunday 8th August, initially offered to anyone with a cancelled ticket on a first-come, first-served basis. All other performances are currently sold out.

A blazingly original, critically acclaimed arrangement of theatrical realism and contemporary dance - excavating a day in the life of a woman following a tragic event.

A hairdryer, an oven, a letter opener. The local church, fiscal policy and Marie Kondo’s folding technique.

Civilisation is about the things we’ve lost and the things we’ve built.

With music by ABBA and Bach.

This bold, compelling show was created from a collaboration between director Jaz Woodcock-Stewart of award-winning Antler Theatre (Lands, Bush Theatre) and celebrated choreographer Morgann Runacre-Temple. Wildly acclaimed for its premiere at the Edinburgh Fringe, Civilisation now receives its long-overdue London run.
