Eighteen

23 & 24 July, 2021

About

Everyone remembers their eighteenth birthday... unless it takes place during a pandemic.

Eight brand-new eighteen-year-olds invite you to the birthdays that got taken away by lockdown.

The parties that didn't happen, the rites of passage that were never completed, the memories that were never made. A chance to celebrate, reminisce and mark the beginning of a new era in their lives.

EIGHTEEN is a first stage production of a new play, developed during lockdown. A new performance from nationally-acclaimed youth company Company Three, made by young people whose final year as company members took place during the pandemic, created with Philip Morris and Angie Peña Arenas

Reviews for Company Three:

★★★★ 'Beautifully conceived.... talent and passion.'
The Observer on Brainstorm

'A lightness of touch [makes] Company Three so vibrant. They’re not afraid of the silliness, the fumbling, the mistakes... I want them to stay there, suspended in blue and pink shadows, twirling and writhing in the light.'
Exeunt on The Act
