‘Can we determine our fate? Or is there only one way out?’

Theatre Peckham’s first resident company NO TABLE Productions present this powerful drama exploring young British Caribbeans' experiences of the Windrush crisis.

Four friends stand on the cusp of adulthood, with ambitious goals ahead. As they take their first steps towards independence, a world-shattering event turns Devonte’s life upside down. Forced to make decisions that may destroy their brotherhood as they know it, the young men must decide to follow the paths laid out for them or step off to help their friend in sudden need.

About NO TABLE Productions

NO TABLE was assembled at Theatre Peckham as part of the government’s Kickstart Scheme and is a collaboration between Guillaume Doussin, Ewa Dina, Montel Douglas, Nora Lempriere, and associate artist Emily Olum. All from a wide range of backgrounds and artistic practices, NO TABLE aims to create risk-taking work that uplifts the voices of the company through a playful and exploratory approach to theatre-making, embolden young creatives with artistic opportunities and knowledge of the industry, and challenge theatrical infrastructure asking the question: ‘why ask for a seat at the table, and instead remove the table altogether?' While in residence at Theatre Peckham, the company created No Table: Scraps, Eating Jeff, and One Way Out.
