NEW '26: That Last Summer
Cardiff. Now. A group of friends are summoned to the park. They discover that every single one of them is on trial.
Who amongst them was responsible for the death of Aaliyah? A propulsive memory-driven drama, from the Welsh writer Azuka Oforka - winner of Best Writer at The Stage Debut Awards 2024 for The Women of Llanrumney.
Part of NEW '26: Royal Welsh College of Music & Drama’s acclaimed annual new writing festival, NEW, works closely with leading writers and directors on new plays commissioned by the College in association with Sherman Theatre (and in previous years companies like Paines Plough and Royal Court). Productions premiere at the College’s home in Cardiff before moving to London.
