NEW '26: Van Man
A man drives his van into the river. A crowd gathers, time dilates, gravity drags.
Onlookers consider what to do before it is too late. It is impossible not to watch, impossible not to argue, impossible not to also dream and sing karaoke. A story about the fragility of a life from British playwright EV Crowe.
Part of NEW '26: Royal Welsh College of Music & Drama’s acclaimed annual new writing festival, NEW, works closely with leading writers and directors on new plays commissioned by the College in association with Sherman Theatre (and in previous years companies like Paines Plough and Royal Court). Productions premiere at the College’s home in Cardiff before moving to London.
